INFRACO AFRICA COMMITS US$ 1.7 MILLION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE 50MW PROJECT ÉLAN SOLAR, CAMEROON

[Johannesburg, 12 December 2018] – Sturdee Energy Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd. (Sturdee Energy) is pleased to announce that InfraCo Africa, part of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), has signed a Convertible Loan Agreement with Project Élan 1 SAS, committing up to US$1.7m to develop the 50MW Project Élan Solar project in Cameroon.

The project is sponsored by Sturdee Energy together with the developer GSC Energy. This will be one of Cameroon’s first commercial-scale solar photovoltaic plants.

The investment by InfraCo Africa is another positive milestone for the Company and its growth strategy in Africa.
