[Johannesburg, 10 June 2022] – The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) announced that at its meeting held on Monday, 6 June 2022, the Regulator Executive Committee (REC) approved the issuance of registration certificates to 16 generation facilities, in accordance with the Licensing Exemption and Registration Notice No. 45266
of 5 October 2021.

Sturdee Energy’s Dwaalboom Solar Project (10MWac) was one of these projects. The project is in the financial close process with a commercial and industrial offtake secured.
